For an inexpensive wreath all you need for this craft is a package of coffee filters and a bottle of paint!
Supplies you will need:
1 package of coffee filters (200 count)
1 Bottle of paint
Glue gun
Heart shape cut out on a piece of cardboard
Directions:
Begin by painting the ends of the coffee filter. I used a sponge brush to paint with. Keep them together while painting them, them separate them after you paint them. Allow to dry.
Cut out a heart shape on a piece of cardboard. I used a cereal box.
Fold the filter in half, in half again, and in half again. Twist the bottom of the filter one time and add hot glue to the end. Lay the filter onto the heart. Start at the outer edge and work your way all around the heart then towards the middle.
Hot glue a ribbon to the back of the cardboard to hang it with.

I made one at Christmas time. I just saved my old ones and let them dry. I just sprayed red paint on them but I like your idea best. I think I posted mine over at Kathe's around Christmas time. I am your newest follower.
