These are fun and easy peppermint candy hearts to make for your Valentine Decor.
I found this heart silicon mold at Goodwill for $1.00.
I bought a bag of Peppermints at the Dollar Store.
I placed one peppermint into each heart shaped cup and baked in the oven at 250 for about 20 minutes until the peppermints melted into the heart shapes. I placed the Silicon mold under a sheet of parchment paper then placed it onto a baking sheet so it was not directly toughing the pan. The parchment paper prevented the Silicon mold from sticking to the baking sheet. After baking, remove from oven and let cool about 15 minutes. The candy will pop right out!

I've been wanting to get some molds like that. Looks super easy to do. & a great way to use up leftover peppermints! Visiting from DearCreatives.com

Awesome idea. I would have thought the peppermints would stick.
ReplyDeleteHoma Style is having a Valentine link party going on now.
I would love it if you linked up your heart peppermints.
The link is
http://homastyle.com/wp/2013/01/30/valentine-link-party/
They stick if you put them in a baking dish or a pan, you have to use Parchment paper if you use a pan, otherwise with the silicon they just pop right out!! Thanks so much for stopping by!
